Caldas Engineering have assessed their key contact points with new and existing customers and have found great benefit from participating in a variety of tradeshows throughout 2018/2019 and into 2020, participating in events not only in South Africa but in neighbouring countries as well.
“We saw some success in 2018 from interacting with potential clients on a face-to-face level at a number of shows such as BAUMA Conexpo 2018, where the sales team had opportunity to network with existing as well as potential new customers within the ore and aggregate processing sector” says Michael da Camara, Chief Operating Officer at Caldas Engineering.

Kenya Mining Forum
Through their participation at the Kenya Mining Forum, Caldas Engineering had the opportunity to discuss our technological advancements on mechanical sub-assemblies and jaw profiles with a core group of customers at a central point, opening the door to build long fruitful relationships with potential customers in the Kenyan Mining industry.
Electra Mining itself has been running every two years for more than fifty years with these shows expanding across the border to Botswana in recent years.
Not only do the sales and management team from Caldas meet potential customers at shows such as Electra Mining but they benefit from opportunities of meeting up with existing customers for the supply of quality-guaranteed wear and mechanical replacement parts includes:

Institute of Quarrying
One organisation Caldas Engineering has supported for over 23 years and is a proud member of is the Institute of Quarrying where networking forms a strong part at the exhibition, conference and social events for Caldas.
The annual IQSA Conference and Exhibition conference draws in many Quarrying member from around South Africa with the most recent conference being their 50th Anniversary.
Caldas Engineering are also the main sponsors of the Young Engineers event at the conference as Caldas strongly believes in the upliftment of our youth and as such are a willing sponsor of this event.
“Our international presence is also on the up and up”, says da Camara. With the company exhibiting in the DRC Mining Week in June of this year and at Caminex in Kitwe, Zambia and more recently, Electra Mining, Botswana in September.
Local shows that we have had representation at this year include the MIS Expo in Steelpoort and Mining & Technical Exhibitions, Northern Cape.
