Caldas Supports The Love Trust
Education is the core to growth and development in South Africa. Without a concerted effort by business to fund schooling in order to improve the countries’ future engineers, accountants and business owners, the country is doomed for failure.
Caldas Engineering are continually looking forward not only from a business perspective but to that of an economically viable future for all South Africans. With this core fundamental soundly in place, at a business level, the company is putting it’s money where its mouth is and investing in the future of children less fortunate than most, by not only regular monthly contributions to the Love Trust Foundation, but by ensuring the main focus is on offered to trainee teachers as well.
“It’s not about passing money over to a random organisation”, says Caldas Engineering’s, Michael Da Camara, “but rather the organisation that we support needs to have the same ethics and outlook on education that we do at Caldas”.
Founded in 2009 The Love Trust is a South African non-profit organisation with the vision to nurture future generations of leaders through the delivery of an excellent Christian education to vulnerable children in disadvantaged communities.
Committed to the idea that a values-driven education is key to a stronger South Africa, to date the foundation reaches over 9000 primary and secondary beneficiaries in disadvantaged communities.
“We are on a treadmill that never stops turning – each year we add more children and the original learners go up a grade – we just need to keep going!” – Martin Morrison, The Love Trust Founder.
“The Love Trust would not be able to deliver excellent education to vulnerable communities without the help of our donors”, attests Morrison. A journey of hope continues with immense heartfelt thank you’s to our supporters”.
With the assistance of companies like Caldas Engineering, the Love Trust is able to reach communities within Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal, Western Cape and the Free State.
These needs range from educational to equipment supplies. They are in the process of building school libraries and are eager to receive new and gently used books.
Caldas Engineering are a proud sponsor to this non-profit organisation whose interests lie in education however, “Not only has Caldas regular financial contribution been used to assist previously disadvantaged children and upliftment the of teachers but, we have also contributed towards the building of a sports pavilion for the home”.
